NASCAR Racecar to Feature Photo of Victims

kevin-conway Tomorrow, October 14, 2011, NASCAR driver Kevin Conway will be featuring a photo of Donna Barnhardt and Darrell Noles on the hood of his Number 87 Sprint Car at the Dollar General NASCAR Race in Charlotte. ExtenZe, a sponsor of the Number 87 car is organizing this effort as part of their ExtenZe Local Hero program in an effort to raise awareness about the senseless crime perpetrated against these two wonderful beloved people.

Kevin Conway is the NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of Year for 2010, and we all feel that he and ExtenZe Racing have REALLY stepped up here to bring new attention to this still-unsolved crime. We hope that the perpetrator is reading this website and is watching NASCAR tomorrow and realizes that our community and the people who loved Donna and Darrell simply will NOT give up till justice is served -- you can run, but you cannot hide.

Concord Police Department’s Chief Guy Smith offered, “We are hoping someone will see this race car carrying the image of Donna Barnhardt and Darrell Noles on TV or in the news and it will trigger someone to come forward to give us the missing information we need to solve this case. We think it is tremendous what Kevin Conway, ExtenZe Racing and NEMCO Motorsports are doing to assist us in this case and can’t thank them enough.”

Those selected have faced danger, sacrificed their own safety for others or in some way displayed leadership that changed their community for the better. Award recipients are eligible to become ExtenZe Racing Honorary Crew Chiefs, receive a tour of the paddock, attend the pre-race NASCAR Driver/Crew Chief meeting, and sit atop the pit box with Crew Chief Billy Wilburn to root on driver Kevin Conway piloting the royal blue and red No. 87 ExtenZe Toyota.
